Thirty years later we've seen the evolution of PC architectures based on the x86 instruction set that has been the core of Intel, AMD or VIA processors. Legendary chips such as Intel 80386, 80486, Pentiums or AMD Athlon have a great debt with that original processor, and as recently was pointed out on Slashdot, x86 evolution still leads the revolution.
